Hollingsworth Bros Civil Engineering announces their ongoing commitment to stay ahead of the competition with the purchase of 8 new Hitachi excavators.

Our ongoing commitment to only operate the latest plant will be realised during February and March this year, with the delivery of the following plant:

1 nr Hitachi Zaxis 225
2 nr Hitachi Zaxis 135
1 nr Hitachi Zaxis 170 Rubber duck
2 nr Hitachi Zaxis 85
1 nr Hitachi Zaxis 60
1 nr Hitachi Zaxis 1.0 U

One of the main drives to update our plant was to ensure our plant is at the forefront in terms of safety. To reinforce our commitment we have added additional safety features to all the plant:

All of the excavators are ZERO Swing
All excavators above 6 ton have rear view cameras
Most importantly all of the excavators are fitted with the new TWIN LOCK quick hitch which negates the requirement for a safety pin. All previous quick hitches with a safety pin (although still legal) have being withdrawn from the market upon the recommendation of HSE

Another important feature of the Zaxis range is the excavators are fitted with remote tracking, which in turn acts as a theft deterrent, but also we can monitor the excavator’s live working position, working outputs, service requirements, potential faults and even live fuel levels. Another interesting fact is 97% of the excavator can be recycled!
